This just in from Scott……..

Irish Nationals are complete now so practice is over. Contest was tough on us. Wind is very patchy and shifty and with so many fast boats around easy to loose big places. Had 15th in the first race without sailing well at all then the jib sheeting cleat ripped off in the second race for a DNF. Wind was a heavy cold 20ish for most of the racing so was above what we could manage well.
The second day had 3 races due to strong wind forecast for day 3. Struggled to get off the line in all races. Finished 15th in the first race and dropped back to 14th in the second after being 6th at one stage. In the last we were about 18th but found to be over the start on the UFD flag…bugger. The boats either side of us were over also…unlucky again. Carrying the UFD points we ended up 27th out of 59 boats so lots of room for improvement. There will be another 20 odd boats to contend with on the start tomorrow so sure to be even tougher…

Improvement required…
