For those that have not sailed here before, racing will be held in Bream Bay at the entrance to Whangarei harbour with boat launching at Marsden Cove Marina. Boat storage will be in the trailer parks that back onto the road.
In the event of light winds, towing will be available to get out to the course area. The club tow ropes will hook up about 10 boats so carry a tow rope just in case you are the last in the tow.
The format is:
Wednesday 18th is registration, insurance check, safety inspection & measurement will be 1pm-6pm split between Marsden Yacht & Boat Club and Marsden Cove Marina.
Briefing is at 6pm at Marsden Yacht & Boat Club. A light meal will be available after briefing and the bar will be open, followed closely by the AGM.
Thursday, Friday and Saturday racing with 3 races scheduled per day.
Saturday night there will be a meal available at the Marsden Yacht & Boat Club followed by prizegiving
Now would be a good time to get last years trophies out and give them a polish and get any engraving done that needs doing. Anyone that needs to courier a trophy to the event can send them to Bruce at Yovich Engineering, 5 Port Road, Whangarei.
Accommodation in the One Tree Point, Ruakaka area is plentiful with motels, holiday parks and of course AirBNB & Bookabach etc
The NOR is done we are just waiting on confirmation from YNZ that all is ok and as soon as we have that will send them out.
